Newly Appointed Chairman of Public Service Commission Subscribes To Oath of Office


The newly appointed Chairman of the Public Service Commission (PSC), Dr Max Amadu Sesay last week took the oath of office during a swearing in ceremony at State House. 

Congratulating the PSC Chair, President Dr Ernest Bai Koroma said that government’s desire and aspiration of transforming Sierra Leone into a middle income country can only be realized when the right people are put in the right places.

President Koroma also said it was important for government to transform the Civil Service because there is every need to make it more efficient and professional so as to enable it provide the expected support to Government for the benefit of the country.

He further noted that for us to move our country to a middle income country there is every need to equip the citizens with the appropriate skills and techniques that will maximize the benefits that Sierra Leone deserves.

In making this possible, President Koroma emphasized that it is quite a big task but with the qualifications and experience of the newly appointed Chair, he is sure we will achieve our goal.

The President expressed his willingness and preparedness to work closely with the new Chairman to ensure effective transformation in the shortest possible time.

Responding to President Koroma, Dr Max Amadu Sesay said that he was fully aware of the challenges that lie ahead, and promised to do his best to take the institution to the next level.
